Social Car Scheme

VAR operates a social car scheme for frail older and disabled people who are unable to use conventional public transport. Volunteer drivers take people to many destinations for social activities and medical appointments.

Rutland Community Vehicles

The vehicles are available for older and disabled people, individuals and groups. Each vehicle seats up to 13 people and both are wheelchair accessible as the buses are fitted with hydraulic lifts. They are available for hire with a volunteer driver or self drive providing the necessary checks have been made.
