Cabrio Club AGM Tour 2012
With the 2011 AGM a resounding success the event for 2012 is announced by David & Rosemary Parrott.
The date is set for the weekend of 22nd to 24th June 2012
The date is set for the weekend of 22nd to 24th June 2012, shortly before BVF, so keep your diary free!
The accommodation will be at the Barnsdale Hall Hotel on the north shore of Rutland Water, which is the largest man made lake in Western Europe in the smallest county of Rutland.
On Saturday we will drive a scenic route through rolling ironstone country to the south viewing a spectacular railway viaduct and seeing many thatched cottages in picturesque villages. Our photo stops will include Uppingham, noted for its public school, Oakham and its castle, noted for its collection of horseshoes and back at Rutland Water for a cruise on the Rutland Belle.
On Sunday the planned route is to the north and east of Rutland where we will visit Barnsdale Gardens, Stamford town and Burleigh House from where our weekend will close with farewell.
For many this is an unexplored part of Britain but not to be missed. It is full of unexpected surprises and a real East Midlands welcome.
