Trustee Vacancies 

Help to drive VAR’s strategy and to oversee its governance and operations as a member of the Board.  This is a responsible position in which you can use your managerial and professional skills and experience to make a difference in the voluntary sector in Rutland.  The Trustee Role Description can be seen here.

Vacancy for a Treasurer

We currently have a particular vacancy for a Trustee who will undertake the responsibilities of Treasurer.

In addition to having the general responsibilities of being a Trustee, as VAR’s Treasurer you will:

  • Keep VAR’s Board informed about its financial duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee, approve and present VAR’s budgets, accounts and financial statements

  • Ensure that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place

  • Advise on the financial implications of VAR’s strategic plans

  • Chair the Finance Sub-Group of the Board.


In this role you will have the support of VAR’s Finance Officer, who is a member of staff and who manages the operational finances of the organisation and prepares the management and financial accounts.
