Welcome to VAR!
Voluntary Action Rutland, based at the Rutland Community Hub, has a vision to improve the quality of life for the people of Rutland via the support of an effective, active and engaging voluntary and community sector.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
We operate an extensive transport scheme for frail, elderly, disabled and vulnerable people to enable them to access medical appointments and social activities.
We have minibuses adapted for wheelchair use on site and a VAR car for hire - these are primarily operated by volunteer drivers but can be available for self-drive.
Our Transport Office is managed as a separate department from our Main Reception. Please use their direct phone number 01572 724705
There are a wide range of groups and activities that are based at the Rutland Community Hub, ranging from Music Bugs to Knit and Natter.
Rutland Community Hub is home to a variety of other agencies and services, such as the Healthcare Support Shop, Turning Point, Rutland Rotaract Family Support Centre and Snowdrop Care.
