VAR launches Helping Hands DIY service for Rutland residents in need of a little help

Rutland is a small county but extremely rural with 52 villages and towns, water in the middle and not great transport infrastructure. This means that residents can feel isolated and it is difficult and expensive to get small jobs around the house done. The Helping Hands service has been set up with volunteer DIY enthusiasts and chaperones to help those members of our community who need a little support with odd jobs around the house or garden.
